Subject: Spraying Intumescent Coatings & Equivalent N95 Particulate Respirators

Safety and personal protection are our top priority.  When spray-applying a No-Burn® intumescent coating, a filtering facepiece (N, R or P disposable particulate respirator1) is recommended.

The safety of those on the frontlines and supply shortages requires additional particulate respirator recommendations.  A half-mask respirator with N95 equivalent filters is now recommended, such as a half-mask respirator with cartridge and appropriate, N95 equivalent filter (CDC – 84A Particulate Filter Respirators).

To find an N95 equivalent filtering facepiece, search CDC-NIOSH Certified Equipment List.
