Spraying Intumescent Coatings & Equivalent N95 Particulate Respirators

Memo To: Contractors, Distributors, & Manufacturing Partners From: Installed Product SupportDate: 4/14/2020Subject: Spraying Intumescent Coatings & Equivalent N95 Particulate RespiratorsSafety and personal protection are our top priority.  When spray-applying a No-Burn® intumescent coating, a filtering facepiece (N, R or P disposable particulate respirator1) is recommended.  The safety of those on the frontlines and supply shortages requires additional particulate respirator recommendations.  A half-mask respirator with N95 equivalent filters is now recommended, such as a half-mask respirator with cartridge and appropriate, N95 equivalent filter (CDC – 84A Particulate Filter Respirators). To find an N95 equivalent filtering facepiece, search CDC-NIOSH Certified Equipment List. CDC-NIOSH Certified Equipment List2 utilizing the following hyperlink and steps, https://www2a.cdc.gov/drds/cel/cel_form_code.asp.     Steps: Under Define Your Own Search     A.
