Prior to the start of the holiday season, decorations are purchased or brought-up from storage, gifts are sought-after and holiday plans are finalized; shouldn't just as much thought and planning be considered if you could help safeguard your holiday?  By simply taking a few moments to consider the fire safety provided by what you purchase and where you place your seasonal treasures and holiday decorations, you may be provided with a little more peace of mind this holiday season.

Having a freshly cut Christmas tree is often rewarding for those who enjoy the ambiance, aroma and cheer that accompany this time of the year.  As the season approaches, we're reminded each year that holiday safety should also be considered before, during and after a Christmas tree is inside a home. As recommended by National Fire Protection Organizations, special consideration is necessary for freshly cut Christmas trees. The appropriate precautions when having a  freshly cut Christmas tree in your home include, but are not limited to: keeping your tree watered, arranging items around the tree in a manner that will not compromise the tree and/or the tree stand's stability, and it is also recommended that you take the initiative to do your research; which will assist you in determining that there are also spray applied fire retardants that provide protection against fires this holiday season.

In the recent past, the State of Rhode Island, still recovering from the affects of the Station Nightclub fire, mandated the use of No-Burn® Christmas Tree Fire Gard on the State Capital Building's tree.

Each year during the holidays fire safety is always a concern when freshly cut Christmas trees are brought into a home. Whether the potential source of the fire or not, a Christmas tree is a large, open source of potential fuel for a fire.  As recommended, watering a freshly cut Christmas tree is an important step when considering holiday fire safety, but it may not solely be able to prevent a fire.  With the development of end-user and consumer safety products, spray applied fire retardants for freshly cut Christmas trees are now available to assist you with considering holiday fire safety. No-Burn® Christmas Tree Fire Gard was developed for direct application to your freshly cut Christmas tree, rendering it highly fire resistant. Christmas Tree Fire Gard may also be applied to natural garland, wreaths and other miscellaneous, natural holiday decorations.

No-Burn® Christmas Tree Fire Gard will not discolor or brown the needles nor will it affect needle retention. It is easily applied in a ready-to-use quart container and is safe for children and pets.  After applying Christmas Tree Fire Gard, remaining product may be put into the tree stand with water for a more thorough application.

Applications include, but may not be limited to: Freshly cut Christmas trees, wreaths, garlands and fresh centerpieces.
